Performed at: Parrish Art Museum, Water Mill, New York

2012

Floored was commissioned for the opening of the Parrish Museum in Water Mill, New York in November 2012 as a part of Hope Sandrow's Platform: Genius Loci. Performed in the center of the floor of the Contemporary gallery, proportioned as a Golden Rectangle, where John Chamberlain’s sculpture is sited, Floored brings into dialogue old and new ideas about ideal proportions, and the human body and its relationship to art and architecture. This piece was created during residences at Dance New Amsterdam and the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council in New York.
